NYC, my dream city! I had so many memories of this city before I landed there. Does it sound crazy to you? Well! think twice.
The more I walked through the city, the more images from the past kept coming to my mind, and then, of course, It clicked.
All the films, series, documentaries, urban movements, trends; New York has been the iconic urban setup of our pop culture!
Looking at history, it becomes clear how this multicultural magnet, flooded with opportunities, turned out this way.
By walking through it, going on the subway, picking up food at China Town, you get the vibe!
I stayed in China Town, in a 4 m2 lovely room. Right there in the middle of this iconic type of brick building with metal stairs outside. China Town has a fantastic urban scale, keeping the “neighborhood” feeling and kind of keeps you safe from the big-monster skyscraper scenarios.
Along its streets, of course, you will find plenty of delightful restaurants, bars, and coffees, in an area that doesn’t feel entirely gentrified, although the price of a coffee will give a heart attack to your pocket. Nevertheless, lovely!
In my four days stay, I covered different sectors of the city. Looking at its different faces. From Upper Eastside to Harlem!
Being a Mega City, NY is, of course, not a stranger to social issues.
